The Alpha Course is a 10 week long practical introduction to the Christian faith. It’s ideal for people who are not Christians, or for people who are Christians but want to find out more about what Christians believe. Our Alpha Courses usually have a good mix of people from many different backgrounds and faiths.
The Alpha Course runs on a series of Thursday evenings and one Saturday. Each session begins with a free coffee and muffin, followed by a talk on one of the central aspects of the Christian faith. Course participants then discuss the talk and any other difficult questions of their own in small groups. Two helpers from the church facilitate the discussion, and one of the principles of Alpha is that everyone can ask their questions and everyone can have their say. We’ve run over 35 courses as a church, and have seen many, many people find that Alpha answered many of their questions and was a turning point in their life.
