Malcolm first opened his tiny eyes to Liverpool's sights and sounds in 1950. Later he taught PE and was a Head of Year in the North-East before starting full time church work in 1984 in Bracknell. Married to Pam with two married daughters, his interests include most sports, music, and reading. Malcolm has been leading The Coign Church since 1991, and oversees the ministry and mission of the church, as well as travelling to serve churches across the UK and overseas.

John has been a full-time member of staff of The Coign Church since September 1994. He oversees pastoral care, Neighbourhood Groups, training, and debt counselling and special needs ministries. Previously, he worked for 25 years in personnel, latterly as Head of Personnel with Surrey County Council. John is married to Ann, with three married children and eight grandchildren.

Tim Brown – Elder & Administrator
Tim is the church administrator. He is also a member of Newfrontiers teams working into many other local churches and countries such as Ukraine, India and Mongolia. Tim's passion is to see ministries released and the church built. In previous jobs, he has driven warships, sold bricks and run his own IT consultancy. Tim is married to Liz and they have three great children.

Phil Moore – Elder & Evangelist
Phil has been at the Coign for 13 years, and came on staff in 2002. His passion is to help people enjoy their relationship with Jesus Christ, and to equip them to share with others the wonderful difference he makes to their life. Phil oversees our outreach events as a church, and the first three books in his "Straight to the Heart of..." series will be published by Monarch in June 2010. Before joining the Coign staff, Phil read History at Cambridge University, had a year working in Paris, and spent 6 years working for consumer goods company Procter & Gamble. He is married to Ruth, with three children - Isaac, Noah and Esther.

Alan is married to Beryl with two adult daughters. He has worked in education and careers guidance in a variety of roles and currently works part time as a Careers Adviser in a school. As an Elder he organises the baptisms and membership courses, and helps with other courses for church members.

Adrian came to the Coign Church in 2005 after leading a church in Fleet for 10 years. He is married to Jenny and they have three school-aged children called Joel, Chloe and Isaac. His responsibilities include overseeing the music in the church as well as having a wider teaching and training role with Newfrontiers which involves travelling to Russia, the Ukraine and various places in the UK. Adrian enjoys reading and music, and supports Norwich City Football Club.

David oversees the church prayer counselling ministry to help people overcome difficulties in their lives and grow into all God has for them. He provides oversight for Lifeshapers, Way In, the Bereavement Support Group, Options for the over-60s, and the Cheer Group for lone parents. Before joining the full time staff in 2001, David was Head of Water Engineering for an international civil engineering consultancy. David is married to Tina, with two daughters at secondary school. He also enjoys mountain biking, fly fishing, and playing the guitar.

Nathan started working for the Coign in September 2008, heading up the Youth Team. After college, he spent a year in Clarens, South Africa, serving a church in youth work and several other areas of ministry. He then returned to the UK to work as a financial administrator. He is passionate about seeing young men and women running for Jesus in their lives and is eager to see Christ's Bride, the Church, built up and taking hold of God's promises. Nathan also loves sport and is a keen and hopeful Tottenham Hotspur fan.

Cassie joined the staff at The Coign in August 2003 after graduating from St Mary's University. She has worked with children for many years in contexts varying from Rainbows to Health Clubs, and now children are the main focus of her ministry at The Coign. She is involved with Sunday Children’s work and Key Club at the church and works a lot in local schools. She is married to the gorgeous Ben and they live in Sheerwater. She plays Hockey for a local team and loves a good film with a cup of tea and a packet of minstrels that have been put in the microwave for a minute. Delicious!!

Alison has been married for 26 years and has three grown-up children. She has previously worked Amnesty International and Westminster Abbey, but says that she has never been happier than her last 10 years at The Coign. She is a trained crisis pregnancy counsellor and works voluntarily within Woking. She is also a member of the infamous Red Hat Society (!) and loves going to the theatre.

Gill has enjoyed being involved with the Coign’s finance operation since early 2002. She and her husband, John, have three grown up children who are now scattered throughout the UK. Gill is very grateful to John for introducing her to the beautiful Isles of Scilly, the perfect location to escape briefly from the bustle of life to an idyllic setting. They are also planning a dream holiday to Africa where Gill is hoping to get as close as possible to lions in their natural habitat.
