Significant Prophecies

Here are some of the prophecies which God has given us as a church which particularly resonate with the elders as part of God’s vision for us:-

PROPHETIC WORD BROUGHT 16th May 2010 - Liz Brown
There is a time coming when you are going to experience a greater intensity of my presence when you are going to become acutely aware of my closeness. You will know a fresh intimacy and a heaviness of my Holy Spirit as I draw close to you. It will arouse a passion within you and will bring conviction to some as you are aware of my great holiness and intense love. And out of this intimacy you will see an outpouring of signs and wonders – as you pray for the sick many will be healed. But I say to you don’t cry out to me for the healings and miracles alone, do not focus on that, but cry out to me for the intimacy of my presence. For it is out of the passion that the power will flow. It is out of the heaviness of my presence that you will receive the anointing and move in my anointing. So seek me the lover of your soul. Cry out to me, yearn and long for me . Don’t be formal and distant, polite and cold. Pour out your heart to me! Get ready for I am coming, I am coming to ignite you, to refresh you, to empower you!.

Those are the words that Gideon heard when he was hiding away because he was terrified of the enemy and his whole family had gone into hiding and he was terrified and yet these were the words that God said and this whole story has been with me 4 or 5 weeks and really has been speaking to me through it but I believe he wants to speak to some of you this morning.

As I was thinking about this story, I saw two very distinct clear calculators and I could see hands working the calculators. The one on the left was working the calculator and it was making the numbers that you would expect a good calculator to make, so 5 add 2 is 7, 1 is much smaller than a 1000, 300 is much smaller than 135,000. Then I could see the other calculator, and God said I want you to look at this calculator, this calculator says 5 add 2 is enough for 5,000, 1 is the same as a 1000, 1000 is the same as 1, 300 is much greater than 135,000.

And then I felt God saying he wants to speak particularly to 3 clear groups this morning.

The first group is, those young families, those of you in the church with young families, young couples. I believe God says that you have been looking at the calculator that makes sense to you, where you would expect 5 plus 2 to equal 7, but God says I don’t want you to do that. I felt that some of these young couples were saying, we can’t add things up, it’s beyond us, we haven’t got the means, God is saying I want you to trust me for my calculator. For when Gideon trusted God for his numbers God said 300 Gideon is going to be enough to defeat 135,000. I believe some of you young couples, (and I am thinking of financial resources) are going to look and going to say we can’t make this add up, I’m not sure if we can hang on, but God is saying, I am faithful, you are mighty men and women that I can use, trust me, trust me for the resources, don’t look to the human calculator.

The second group was specifically to the young people, you are in schools, you are in classes where you are the only one and you say what can I do? I am only a weak person, there are so many who don’t trust and believe in God, I can’t make a difference. I believe God is specifically talking to you this morning and saying, you can, you are a man, you are a mighty warrior, you are a woman, you are mighty men and women whom I can use. Don’t make your own calculations, trust in my calculations.

The third group are those even recently in your small groups, your Neighbourhood groups, and you have been looking and you have been pondering what you can do as a group in your area. There was a sense of resignation that we can’t make an impact on people as there are so few of us, we can’t do anything as there are too many. God is saying to you as groups, no don’t look at the human calculator look at my calculator I am wanting to use you just as you are. Gideon wasn’t given great weapons, he was given ridiculous things to use against the enemy and it worked. So I want you, says God, to actually trust me to give you all the resources you need even though in a calculating way you think they are of no use, in my hands they can be powerful. I want you to trust me, I want those young families to trust me, financially I want you to trust me I want those young people in your schools, in your classes, in universities, I want you to trust me, I want you to trust me that you are in exactly the right places and I want you neighbourhood groups not to look out and think where do we start? It’s too big, but to say we will trust the Lord with the resources we have got. I want you to say that to me this morning I want you as you worship me to know that I am a God who gives you all the resources you need, trust my calculations.

Concerns David & Goliath...The story is that Goliath dominating the scene in the nation and Saul the Kind dresses David in his own tunic and David says he cannot go in these as he is not used to them.

He took them off took a staff in his hand and chose 5 smooth stones from the stream, put them in a pouch of his shepherds bag, with his sling in his bag and went to the Philistine and said ‘you come against me with sword, spear and javelin but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty the god of the armies of Israel whom you have defied.

There are 5 smooth stones of advance that we will walk in, 5 seasons of advance each of them different, these are about tearing down strongholds in the nation and the nations. I feel it is not just a word for Woking but is a word that will ripple out far wider sphere.

The first stone is about building and finance – the time of breakthrough is upon you where we are now at is going to see this wonderful lighthouse emerge that towers over Woking to shine light to that city, I know that some of your hearts are saying have tried we have tried and tried again, we have gone in the armour of Saul and we have not succeeded.

Actually, It is in his strength that we will go, we will be like ‘Jack & The Beanstalk’ who felt he only had a few beans yet over night something grew up , God says that type of super natural faith is upon us, that’s we will see a miraculous miraculous amount of finance released, millions of pounds. In this season that beaks upon you as you take a small step of faith today I want you to see by faith this beautiful building emerge a building that will be gathering of the nations, a building that will arise over that town serving both the young and the old, the week, poor and needy, they will come it will be like a hive of people coming, this is the 1^st stone, this the giant that towers over you

A stone of amazing evangelistic success – I prophesy over you that you will see a breaking out of the Kingdom of God. I prophesy over you that you men & women of amazing faith, that break into new seams like a coal seam, a gold seam in the society of Woking. I prophesy over you that you will see many young families making their way into church more and more there will be a momentum that gathers. I can see evangelistic success, the old way of doing evangelism, Saul’s tunic won't fit in this new season. Linked to this
Breaking out into the nations of the world, the people from Woking, from all walks of life especially the nations, the number of people in our church from the nations is going to multiply over and over again, we will be amazed at the people who come there will be 20, 30, 40, nations in our membership because so many people are coming. We will suddenly find in roads to people to hardly speak any English, from South America, from some of the ‘Eastern Block’ countries we will find them coming and finding a home with us’.
The poor, I believe God would say that I want you to know that you have a great capacity to love as a church. I want you to know that there is a giant in our nation that keeps people enslaved in poverty, in red light districts, in drug addiction, the elderly who are locked behind the doors frightened to go out. I prophesy to you today, that there will be a breaking out with the poor, that some of you in this room will be amazing touched by the spirit of God today, this wave is breaking upon you says your God I want you to get upon this wave, I want you to know that I am upon you in a massive, massive way don’t just look for a small increase, don’t look for a small number, look for amazing miraculous breakthrough.
Leadership – Elders please stand, I want to prophesise and pray over them.

I want to prophesise over you guys that a new group of leaders will come through in this next season, in the next 5 to 10-years. I prophesise that there a Joshua and Caleb, that will get along side you, Malcolm, that you will take huge delight in because you will see correct spirits with authority, but men who love the church, everything you stand for, everything these Elders stand they will go way beyond they will be part of the fulfilment of Gods great call over this church. The best is yet to come.

I want to prophesise over you John - there is a change coming, I feel that you are an incredible climber; I feel you are a faithful climber, that you nail things to rock faces and others go up. I feel God says well done, there are loads people in the place God wants them to be in because of your faithfulness but I am asking you to take a different route, this is going to be a year of change for you and you cannot hold on to the same rock face, you cannot hold onto the same hand holds you have held on to, you are going to have reach beyond your capacity, you are going to be re shaped slightly and in the reshaping of your life and ministry, it will enable others to come through. God wants you to be full of faith. I think you are man full of huge integrity and you have helped so much this church be what it is, I feel that Gods pleasure is on you but I believe it will be a season that you will think wow if I let go of this what happens next, and I feel God would say, I will be there for you and I am going to make a way where there doesn’t seem to be a way and it will be a way to allow more people to come, more people know their God.

“I felt God saying this to you even within this town: ‘Where are you not represented?...There are sectors of this town, there are areas, there are streets, there are different ethnic groups, there are different social groups, and they are not yet gathered and I want to say to you that my heart is to gather them all together to you. So, I want you to have a strategy of scattering yourselves into these different sectors, scattering yourselves amongst different people…And I want to say to you individually, make new friends, reach new people, ask God for fresh opportunities; I want to scatter you amongst people and gather them in.”

“We know of some changes that are coming as we move to HG Wells, and there will be other things we don’t know yet, it’s as if we are going to need some new footwear for running the race…The new shoes may be slightly uncomfortable to start with as you break them in but it is so important not to hark back and keep saying ‘oh, it was so good before.’ Yes, it was good but there is a new phase…”

“This is the time for the Coign to burst its banks and move in to the flood plain. There won’t be the recognisable ‘banks’ to keep us in the structures we have known so far. It is a time, says God, to go beyond the designated route into the flood plains of this town. It may feel strange and chaotic, but this is no disaster or accident – it is where I want you to be. You are to be People of the Flood Plain taking the water of my Spirit to the dry parched areas.”

“I had a picture of a wall - one of those memorial walls with people's names on. The wall was made up of stones of varying shape and each one had a name on it of those people who had been born again at the HG Wells room.”

“I say to you, my People, let yourselves be built together into something magnificent, something amazing in this town! Yield to one another, submit to one another, serve one another…remember your cornerstone, the Lord Jesus Christ. Keep building on Him, give Him honour, give Him room in this place. Keep your eyes on Him and as you do all of this, surely I will bless you and multiply you to overflowing and all will speak about you in this town.”

“I have given you many promises in the last year as you moved by faith to this venue. Now I want you to move with faith to break down the ‘walled areas and citadels’ in this town … I see families and Neighbourhood groups moving with faith, breaking down unbelief, in the roads and areas where they have lived for a long time. I say, ‘See, I have delivered them into your hands.’ God says it is time for all my people to pray with faith for those walls to come down. To take what I have promised."
